Richmond, Public Market and Blenz Coffee
I’m going to Victoria on Vancouver Island, the provincial capital of Colombie Britannique tomorrow, thus, instead of venturing around, I spent my morning doing some homework, surfing through various websites including Wikipedia Victoria and BC Transit Victoria, so I can plan forward what am I supposed to do when my ferry lands in Swartz Bay tomorrow.

Still, I went to Richmond town centre for lunch, bought some bran raisin muffins for my breakfast onboard the ferry tomorrow, and f0llowed by my routine cuppa coffee and piece of chocolate cake.
Again, some pictures have been captured specially for you. Obviously the super sweetie in the cafe is a must, but I don’t think revealing more of her pics without her consent is very ethical, thanks for your kind understanding

Scenes of Richmond’s central business district near the junction of Westminster Highway and Number 3 Road.

The soil here is soft, I suppose, that’s why all they have to pile up all these concrete blocks and make it compact before a high rise scheme could be constructed.

The main entrance to Richmond’s public market, where I frequent for lunch. It’s a closer resemblance of her counterparts in Taiwan or Hong Kong, than those in Lonsdale Quay or New Westminster.

The fruit and vegie stalls, just like anywhere else that you know. The food court is located at the upper floor, where you can find everything from Cantonese and Szechwan cuisine to Xinjiang’s Muslim food and Taiwan’s bubble tea.

Richmond is currently the 4th most populous municipality within Greater Vancouver Regional District with 170,000 dudes, after Vancouver, Surrey and Burnaby, yet, upcoming towering buildings are expected everywhere, and traffic congestion is fermenting.

Richmond Centre, the biggest mall in Richmond, like most other Canadian malls, consists of a single storey only. The Hudson’s Bay Company, or simply The Bay, is the earliest trading corp and currently the largest retailer in Canada, often the only departmental store in remote towns. From fur trading, it has now transformed into a fashion chain.

Blenz Coffee, where I would spend my entire afternoon.

Outside, you see Canadian and British Columbian flags flying merrily.

Inside, the sweet lady captures everyone’s attention. Wanna have milk instead of cream for your coffee ?
