Parti Keadilan has failed, again.

On Ayah Pink issue, just like every other issue, you have to support or oppose. You must voice out. But Parti Keadilan didn’t. Just like on the issue of Hudud, Parti Keadilan show neither support nor opposition, hoping to get the support from both Hudud supporters and opposers. In the end, it gets neither. And history is going to repeat itself this time round.

Ayah Pink has been a funny figure. Okay, so he has claimed to be the God for a belief which is the combination of all major religions in the world. It’s not illegal but unIslamic, eventhough they didn’t harm any person or pose any threat to any nation. Just like what Chinese Communists did onto Falungong followers, our authorities, both Barisan Nasional and Pas, wanna destroy Ayah Pink. And this is very Islamic, I suppose.

I will go into detail with Ayah Pink’s so-called deviant group later in another entry. In this entry, I wish to highlight the fact that Parti Keadilan has failed to make a stand, just like in the issues of Hudud and moral policing. Since there’s no official media statement from Parti Keadilan, I will publish here the media statement of Parti Sosialis, whose opinion in this issue is similar to that of mine.

Press Statement : 1 August 2005

BLATANT INJUSTICE ON AYAH PIN AND HIS FOLLOWERS

Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM) condemns the manner in which the authorities have been handling the Ayah Pin issue. We regard the actions by the State Religious Department as well as the police as act of terrorism and gangsterism on innocent people whose only offence has been to have a different set of beliefs.

PSM strongly advocate, that one has the right and freedom of religion and this right is a personal choice which no authorities or third party can intervene as long as these beliefs etc. does not violate any other person’s rights. These are fundamental rights which the state cannot take away from its citizens.

The action by the authorities are blatant human rights violations and contravenes the Universal Declaration of Human Rights as well as the rights to Civil and Political Rights.

Parti Sosialis Malaysia(PSM) calls for the following :

  1. All Ayah Pin followers who are still being detained without bail to be immediately released.
  2. The police immediately reveal who were behind the mob which rampaged into the “Sky Kingdom commune” on 18th. July 2005 and take immediate action against the criminal offenders. The police should also give protection to Ayah Pin’s followers from being abused by any party.
  3. The authorities should stop all demolition as well as trespassing into the private land which belongs to one of the residents there. The manner how these structures as well as public
gathering halls were demolished seems to indicate that the authorities are not adhering to any law.
  4. Ayah Pin’s followers should be given the freedom and rights to movement. The curfew on the areas should be lifted.
  5. The State should immediately stop all form of harassment and prosecution on those who have differing beliefs and faiths as long as it doesn’t violate any single person’s rights. The authorities should stop meddling in peoples’ personal and religious beliefs.
  6. We call upon all parties to stop using the threat of ISA on Ayah Pin and his followers. The ISA is a draconian law which condones torture and condones detention without trial.

My heart melt when I read through this entry in Lyn my meimei dear’s blog… How cruel the rain can do onto an 11-year-old girl ?

Yeah, it’s not so much for the fame, but for the sake of having the whole school be acknowledged of your big day !

Happy Birthday Lyn !

It’s Lyn’s forever 17 birthday.

It’s also the day my sayang left for Kuala Lumpur, after a lovely 9 day stay in Temasek.

I am not in KL currently therefore I lacks the geographical advantage to present Lyn a great little birthday gift in person.

I am still in the mist of getting a new Sim card for my mobile phone so texting Lyn to say happy birthday was out of question.

And I think e-cards are lame.

As bloggers, we should do it the blogger’s way. As a pembangkang, we should do it the “pembangkang with attitude” ’s way.

Nothing much can come from me as I don’t even own much myself. However, I just wish to top up Lyn’s wishlist with two wishes from me :

  1. Work less, eat more, play more, shop more, sleep more. Stay in the pink of your health.
  2. Rush your creativity and secure the 50k RM from CIP !

Last but not least, shincerest birthday greetingz from dearest gege and dasao. May God bless you with a nutritious and refreshing year ahead !
